From time to time we are asked about other software and hardware that might be of use alongside ConQuest.  Below are one or two items which have proved useful to some users.  Conquest Ltd can in no way endorse or guarantee products, services or companies listed below.

Producing paper enquiries is time consuming and expensive with a typical send-out costing thousands of pounds.  E-Quiry represents the professional alternative.  It provides a structured link between ConQuest and Microsoft Office, automating many of the most time consuming and laborious tasks and producing an end product which is comprehensive, concise, professionally presented and very easy for subcontractors and suppliers to use.

IT Group International is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based in Glasgow.  They provide integrated Financial and Operational Management Solutions, developed specifically for the Construction & Contracting Sector in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

 IT Group has undertaken extensive work in partnership with ConQuest to integrate their Construction Sector solution.  The following summaries the key areas of integration:

• Setup:  Cost Codes from ConQuest are imported into NAV via a Cost Code matching screen, which allows Cost Code allocation to G/L Account Numbers to take place.
• Budgets: Estimates are imported into NAV via a screen, which once validated populates NAV budgets.  Multiple budgets are possible for different versions of the same estimate.  Most importantly, ConQuest Cost Codes and Activities (Phases) are used
• Procurement Workbench: The Procurement Workbench can then be used to create Purchase Quotes/Purchase Orders from the budgets imported from ConQuest. ConQuest resource lines can be picked and allocated multiple vendors for quotes and the winning quote can be converted into an order. Alternatively, a Purchase Order can be created directly. ConQuest Cost Codes & Activities are preserved and propagated throughout the system.
• Valuations (Contract Sales):  Valuations can be imported from ConQuest, entered directly or imported from the winning budget instead of a ConQuest Valuation if preferred.  Valuation lines themselves are rolled up to Cost Code & Activity Level.
•  CVR:  Allows analysis including ConQuest Cost Code by Activity anaylsis and shows Budgets and Actuals.  Also provides a facility to enter adjustments.

 The roll up three digitiser can be provided with a device called a 'Quick Ruler'  This device provides an interface between the measurement facilities of the digitiser and certain software packages, including Excel and ConQuest.  You simply measure the length or area you require, press the send button and the result appears at the current cursor position on the ConQuest dimpad or in the quantity column of your bill.
